Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has made a commitment to engage meaningfully with Indigenous peoples in Canada as a part of the process to protect Canada's natural environment. As a part of ECCC, the Canadian Wildlife Service has also made this commitment.
Before I arrived at CWS, my boss surveyed the Indigenous Relations Community of Practice to determine the goals of that community with respect to our relationships with Indigenous nations and organizations. My supervisor gave me the information that she had gathered and I transformed it into a presentation.
We organized two meetings, one with the Heads and Managers of CWS Pacific Region and one with the Indigenous Relations Community of Practice
