Business Writing / Communications / Research

Backgrounders for Indigenous Nations of BC

This was an exercise in research and writing within the federal government, specifically for Environment and Climate Change Canada. I learned about the First Nations of BC and their relationships with ECCC.

Communications / Leadership

Working with Politicians

In order to create the content we were hoping for, we needed the engagement of politicians. I worked closely with politicians from 3 of the 4 majors parties to achieve this goal.

Communications / Interviewing / Social Media

Interviews before the 2019 Federal Election

While working on the Envirovote 2019 team, I had the chance to hone my interviewing skills by writing interview questions, as well as, carrying out and transcribing interviews.

Communications / Editing / Social Media / Teamwork

Social Media for Envirovote

In POLI 308, I helped run the Instagram and Facebook pages for @envirovote2019. We produced short videos about climate and the election and worked to make them visible online.

Communications / Leadership / project management / Social Media / Teamwork

POLI 308: Teamwork

Working in POLI 308 has shown me how important a good team is to achieving our goals in a project. We have created a clear project design in under two weeks and are well on our way to pulling it off.

Advocacy / Care work / Leadership / Teaching / Teamwork

Easter Seals Camp Merrywood

I spent a summer as a camp counsellor and canoe/kayak instructor at a camp for differently-abled youth. It's probably one of the most physically and emotionally exhausting experiences of my life, but also one of the most enriching.

Campaigning / Communications / Event Planning / Social Media / Teamwork

Campaigning for the NDP in Rural Ontario

My first official partisan work came as the Youth Advisor and Social Media Manager of Ramsey Hart, candidate for the NDP in the provincial Ontario elections. I learned lots about the electoral process and the importance of media.

Advocacy / Communications / Event Planning / Leadership / Teamwork

The Feminist Society

After taking over an ailing association for the advancement of feminist ideals, I worked to revitalise it and promote it on campus. I succeeded to gain traction amongst the student body and find new members to carry on the club ideas.
